Ainu women in Aslahikawa, Hokkaido 1910-20

"The name Ainu refers to indigenous natives of the Northern Islands of Japan. Tattooing was common among Ainu women until the turn of the 20th Century. They wore designs around their lips and mouths as well as hands and arms. The tattooing process was completed over several years, as a rite of passage into adulthood. Ainu men did not wear tattoos."

so Schor

Ok, I forgot to post a picture of this for those who wanted to see.

My Sarah Schor eurasian squirrel tattoo. (photo from Sarahs blog www.sarahschor.com)
Sarah was previously tattooing at Red Hot and Blue Tattoo shop in Edinburgh but is moving in August to New York to be part of the New York Adorned team. All her appointments for her remaining time in the UK have gone, but keep your eyes peeled for guest spotting, truely talented lady!

where's my goddamn chalice?

When presented with a bargain, I just can't resist. It's probably why I shouldn't go in $1 stores!
Although, this cup is a perfectly reasonably possession. I'm not entirely sure about the "dinosaur" hat though....no I am. It's cool.

My head is definitely to big for this.

Today Anita arrives, I just got a message from here saying she's at Halifax, Nova Scotia so in just a couple of hours she'll be at Logan airport! Pretty excited!

The guys here have been super welcoming and still need to catch up with everyone from Royal Street! I love Boston.

welcome to the US of WAHEY.

Long time no blog, but my laptop is completely dead and now I'm in a different country.
Arrived in Boston Logan at 17.00 US time, and after sleeping for 12hrs last night I feel I may have conquered jetlag.

No pictures to upload as of yet, well...just a lot of cats so far. But when I get more stuff from what I'm doing I guess I'll report back. Now for a mint choco chip Tofutti Cutie and some wii!
