Wow, I never realized how flamboyant the Russian language was.
Which reminds me, I desperately need to keep teaching myself French.
For the past few days I've been lining a Russian Doll (российская кукла) as a gift to a very special friend.
So far I'm please, despite my hate for lining circles with fineliners, something that never seems to go quite to plan. Anyway, I think she's quite pretty.
I'm about to start painting her with acrylic. She has a compass in the lower half as a symbol of Emma's (much like mine) vagabond nature. It has a rose bordering the compass (for beauty and intricacy - much like Emma again) and then a William Blake patter as the background (this I did straight up copy from his design, but I'm also making point of saying that - I did add a few extras to fill gaps left fromthe design that would of been far to boring to have left for solid colour)
Once the painting is done and Emma has seen it (finished) I'll post it.
My housemate also got her cat yesterday from the Protection League. His name is Colin, he's black and is blind in one eye. He's currently chilling on my bed as I work purring softly, cute. I'll try get some good pictureson my phone.
Pretty boring post I know. More later.
